About thirty years ago, he became immersed in writing a software application for his business (still going today - both the company and the software...). This led inexorably into the brave new world of web design. Starting off with a simple project - a family website, he ventured into building sites for businesses in the London, Ontario region. Today, he has a number of online stores to his credit and a number of non-profit organizations.

The philosophy used by DeVries was actually developed during his years of software engineering on the accounting system. Ground rules are:
